No. To secure your parking spot you must arrive to Alta before 1pm. You are welcome to stay as long as you would like on that day.

Check back—cancellations open parking spots daily. Also, additional parking is released each Sunday at 3pm for the following weekend or holiday period. Set a reminder.

What benefits do Alta or Alta-Bird Season Passholders receive?

• Qualifying Alta and Alta-Bird passholders are eligible for free parking reservations
    • Qualifying Alta passholders will receive code(s) that can be used to book free parking reservations
    • Reservation codes may be reused once the active reservation date has passed
 • Qualifying Alta passes: Family Package, Adult, 65+, 80+, 18-25, Military, Mid-Week, Gold Card, Powder Card & 10-Day Card.
 • Qualifying Alta-Bird passes: Family Package, Adult, 65+, 18-25 & Military.

As an Alta lift ticket purchaser you will receive a parking code for a $15 discount off your parking reservation. Upon receiving your code, please make a reservation via reserve.altaparking.com (https://reserve.altaparking.com/)to finalize your reservation.

If I am an Ikon or Mountain Collective passholder do I need to make a parking reservation?

Yes, you will need to purchase a $25 parking reservation for Friday–Sunday & holidays from 8am–1pm. (https://reserve.altaparking.com/)Reservations are not required Monday through Thursday (excluding holiday periods).

Yes, cancellations made by 8am the day of your parking reservation are eligible for refund.

What happens if I make a parking reservation and no-show?

Failure to cancel free Alta season passholder reservations may result in pausing future passholder reservation benefits. Please note that if you are ill or have an emergency, email altaparking@interstateparking.com (mailto:altaparking@interstateparking.com?subject=Alta Parking Cancelation)so that you do not need to drive up the canyon. We recognize that unexpected circumstances may arise, and we are more than willing to work with you in most unplanned situations.

Are parking reservations refundable if impacted by a weather event?

Can I change my license plate number after my parking reservation starts?

Accepted Answer

No. Your license plate must be updated before the start time of your reservation to avoid a violation.

What if I am driving a rental vehicle and don’t have my plate information yet?

Accepted Answer

When using a rental vehicle, please set up your account using RENTAL as the plate while completing the reservation. Once you have obtained your rental vehicle, you can log back into your account (https://reserve.altaparking.com/)and update the vehicle information. Please complete this update prior to entering Little Cottonwood Canyon so the system can update. Your license plate must be updated before the start time of your reservation.
